The choice of technique is made by mutual agreement with the surgeon, after a comprehensive assessment of the patient (ocular parameters and daily visual needs). Because every patient is unique.
Post-operative follow-up
Follow-up consultations are free for the first 3 months after the procedure.
In general, 2 to 3 post-operative appointments are sufficient. However, the number of visits is not limited: the patient is seen as many times as necessary to achieve a stable, optimal vision independent of glasses or contact lenses.
Typical follow-up schedule:
- The day after (FemtoLASIK or PresbyLASIK) or on the 3rd day (TransPKR and PKR)
- Occasionally in the second week
- At 1 month, to assess the final outcome
Thereafter, a routine check-up with your ophthalmologist is sufficient, on average every 1 to 3 years, depending on the case.
