{"id":240,"date":"2013-07-15T11:10:20","date_gmt":"2013-07-15T10:10:20","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.vision-laser.fr\/?page_id=240"},"modified":"2020-12-16T10:32:01","modified_gmt":"2020-12-16T09:32:01","slug":"les-examens-complementaires","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"http:\/\/www.vision-laser.fr\/en\/le-glaucome\/examen-equipements\/les-examens-complementaires\/","title":{"rendered":"Additional examinations"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"translation-block\">Any high blood pressure should be rechecked because many factors can cause the measurement to vary.<br>\nIn addition, not all hypertension necessarily means glaucoma because glaucoma is characterized by damage to the optic nerve.<br>\nIt will therefore be necessary to perform a certain number of examinations which are all painless and do not require the instillation of eye drops to dilate the pupil:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"translation-block\">Blood pressure measurement with a non-contact <strong>tonometer<\/strong> and, in case of doubt, with a Goldman applanation tonometer.<\/li>\n<li class=\"translation-block\"><strong>Pachymeter<\/strong> measurement of corneal thickness because the measured tension figure must be weighted according to the thickness of the cornea.<\/li>\n<li>Gonioscopy with examination of the iridocorneal angle and measurement of the depth of the anterior chamber of the eye which predisposes to acute angle-closure glaucoma.<\/li>\n<li>Fundus examination and posterior pole retinophotography with non-mydriatic retinograph<\/li>\n<li class=\"translation-block\">Examination of the <strong>Visual Field with the Octopus Computerized Campimeter<\/strong><strong>.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li class=\"translation-block\">Examination of the optic nerve with <strong>RTVue OCT<\/strong>, the ultimate in ophthalmological diagnostic devices, allowing ultra-fine analysis of the optic nerve and the ganglion cells and fibers that are the first to be affected in the case of early glaucoma.<\/li>\n<\/ul>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Toute tension \u00e9lev\u00e9e doit \u00eatre recontr\u00f4l\u00e9e car de nombreux facteurs peuvent faire varier la mesure.
